This project involved landscaping a Provençal Mediterranean garden around a new contemporary house in Roquefort-les-Pins on the French Riviera. The couple wanted a relaxed garden with space for their daughters to play and the family to enjoy the pool.
The numerous sliding glass doors offer wide views of the garden. We designed the outdoor space to be enjoyed from inside the house, like a living landscape painting. To enhance the view, we added soil behind the pool, creating a flat area and a sense of depth throughout the garden.
The garden features undulating masses of shrubs typical of Mediterranean gardens, including a mix of Pittosporum tobira nana, Helichrysum italicum, cistus, and lavender. A few olive and strawberry trees add volume to the composition and connect the garden to its surroundings. Finally, the placement of large rocks brings a natural decorative touch that we value highly.
The result is a relaxed, inviting space that the family can enjoy both indoors and outdoors.
