A family entrusted us with the complete landscaping of their property located on the heights of Nice on the French Riviera. The site lies within the former park of Villa d’Orangini, an Italian-style residence once surrounded by a vast five-hectare estate, now divided into private residences.
Our clients, a couple with children, undertook a full renovation of their home, both inside and out. They commissioned our landscape design studio to rethink the entire garden and create a warm, functional living environment in direct connection with the house. Our mission was to imagine a family-oriented outdoor space, structured around generous terraces, a swimming pool and a pétanque court.
The project was carried out in close collaboration with the clients, their interior designer and our team of craftsmen. The main challenge was to create a smooth continuity between indoor and outdoor spaces, both functionally and aesthetically.
We designed a garden inspired by the Provençal garrigue, based on a typically Mediterranean plant palette with rich and varied seasonal flowering. Grasses, selected for their movement and lightness, bring a spontaneous and natural feel. The integration of rocks and large mineral slabs structures the space, creates contrasts with the vegetation and enhances the authentic, vibrant character of the garden.
Thanks to the involvement of all contributors and the refined taste of our client, the property has been completely transformed. Today, it stands as a harmonious example of a contemporary Provençal garden, elegant and perfectly in tune with the architecture of the house.
