Luxury villa garden design in Mougins and the South of France
Owning a villa in Mougins is an opportunity to create an outdoor environment that feels as timeless as the surrounding Mediterranean landscape. As a landscape architect working across the South of France, Studio Mathieu Besnier designs elegant gardens where architecture, nature, and daily living exist in perfect harmony. Every project is an invitation to experience refined outdoor living design inspired by the local character.
After nearly ten years in California studying Japanese garden art and working in a Mediterranean climate similar to the Côte d’Azur, Mathieu Besnier founded the studio with a clear vision: creating authentic Provençal gardens that are water-wise, environmentally respectful, and deeply connected to their surroundings. As both a garden designer and landscape architect, he transforms each property into a peaceful mediterranean garden, carefully shaped around light, topography, and native planting. Near Nice, every design embraces natural stone, elegant circulation, and immersive outdoor spaces that mature beautifully over time.
From the first site analysis to sketches, technical drawings, contractor coordination, and construction supervision, every stage is managed with precision. Our outdoor living design philosophy ensures that terraces, shaded lounges, pathways, and gardens become a seamless extension of your villa and lifestyle throughout the South of France.
Whether your property is located in Mougins, Cannes, Antibes, Valbonne, Biot, Villefranche-sur-Mer or Saint-Paul-de-Vence, our landscape architect studio creates bespoke gardens that celebrate the beauty of the South of France through thoughtful outdoor living design.
