Luxury Garden Design Nice, French Riviera
Bathed in Mediterranean light and shaped by coastal hills, fragrant garrigue and ancient olive groves, Nice offers an inspiring setting for exceptional gardens. As a Garden designer on the French Riviera, Studio Mathieu Besnier creates natural, refined outdoor spaces that connect architecture with the surrounding landscape.
After nearly ten years in California studying and practising landscape design in a climate comparable to the Mediterranean, Mathieu Besnier founded his studio with a clear vision : to create authentic Provençal gardens that are climate-responsive, water-conscious and deeply rooted in their environment.
Each project balances understated elegance, sensory richness and everyday comfort. Native and Mediterranean planting, natural stone, sculptural textures and shaded pathways create immersive spaces that evolve with the seasons. From terrace garden design to outdoor living design, every detail is considered to complement the property’s architecture and lifestyle. Our approach combines thoughtful site analysis, conceptual sketches, technical plans and coordination with skilled local craftspeople.
Whether you own a contemporary villa or a traditional Provençal property, our Landscape architect brings a bespoke approach to every mediterranean garden. If you are looking for a Garden designer in Nice, Studio Mathieu Besnier can help shape an outdoor space that feels naturally connected to its setting.
We welcome projects across the French Riviera, including Antibes, Cannes, Valbonne, Mougins, Villefranche-sur-Mer, Biot and Saint-Paul-de-Vence. Contact our studio to discuss your garden project in Nice and beyond.
