This small, unique garden at the base of a building in Nice’s Mont Boron district was redesigned to bring a touch of Japan into the city. The owners wanted a peaceful, Japanese-style retreat in their urban garden.
A grove of bamboo, privet, and pittosporum at the back screens the garden from the nearby street, while a terrace with landscaped sleepers accommodates a summer pool for their daughter. The central space remains open, inviting free movement and quiet strolls.
Weathered rocks, delicate groundcovers, and ephemeral blooms create a subtle, contemplative atmosphere, offering a sense of depth and a moment to pause and reflect in the heart of the city.
