In the heart of the woods, very close to the village of Valbonne, we had the privilege of landscaping a beautiful property in Châteauneuf de Grasse on the French Riviera.
Following the renovation of their swimming pool and the construction of a pool house by the architects A.P.ARTs, our clients sought the expertise of our landscape design studio to progressively rethink their entire estate.
The landscape study resulted in several design proposals aimed at harmoniously linking the pool area to the house and creating multiple circulation routes to fully enjoy the property. The redesign of the main terrace of the house created new living and entertaining spaces, while also opening up new pathways throughout the garden.
In line with our clients’ wishes, our landscape design studio favored a natural Mediterranean-style garden with a few exotic touches. The plant palette is composed of Mediterranean species, as well as succulents and numerous grasses. This selection creates a peaceful atmosphere in perfect harmony with the surrounding landscape of large oak and pine trees.
Mineral elements were strongly emphasized and used in the form of ornamental rocks, staircases, terraces, stone retaining walls and stepping stones. These features create a strong visual connection with the Provençal house and its stone façade. The terraces and stairways allow free access to the various living areas of the property, such as the swimming pool, the pétanque court and the vegetable garden.
The landscape design enhanced a large part of the property, creating new living spaces that can be enjoyed year-round and that integrate seamlessly with the surrounding natural environment.
